Gehlot promise Education for every Child in state

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Stressing on the importance of education, said no child should be deprived of education in the state. ''We have to keep working with the spirit of the Right to Education Act, which has been implemented in the country and the state so that no child is deprived of education,'' the Chief Minister said, while flagging off an education campaign rally ''Nanhe haath kalam ke saath(small hands with pen)'' from his official residence today. He also signed banners carrying messages to stop child labour. Mr Gehlot emphasised on proper implementation of Shiksha Aapke Dwar -- Sarvshiksha Abhiyan and other projects run by UNICEF and Government of India and the state goverment for child labourers. ''We have to think about how benefit of these schemes could reach to these childern, engaged in child labour. We have to spread awareness among public regarding provision of Child Labour Act so that family elders do not send their childern to work as a labour, ''he said.
The Chief Minister said many families from south Rajasthan migrate to Gujarat to work in BT cotton fields and such practice should be stopped. Additional Chief Secretary Agriculture Salauddin Ahmed said special focus had been given to child labouers working at BT cotton fields and brick manufacturing plants with the help of UNICEF and some NGOs. Principal Secretary Labour Manohar Kant said the aim of this compaign was to check migration of child lobourers in selected 60 panchayat samitis of the state so that they could get education.
