Jaipur Metro Project approved by Rajasthan cabinet

The Rajasthan Government has approved the proposed project of metro train in Jaipur under which Rs 1,250 crore are estimated to be incurred. The state Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, gave its clearance to the project paving way for its speedy implementation. The first phase would be completed by next three years on public-private partnership basis. The second phase would involve an investment of Rs 7,850 crore. The work on the first phase would begin the next month and completed by June 2013 for running metro train between Mansarovar and Chandpol.
The Cabinet also gave its consent to the proposal of setting up the state civil supply corporation. It also approved the proposal of grant of benefits of the six pay commission to Sanskrit University teachers.

  1. What about monorail project in Jodhpur. Even CST Buses started by privious govt. on some route have even been stopped, only on one route it is running.
