Rajasthan gets Mansoon rain, Mansoon towards northern India

Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and most part of Rajasthan gets Mansoon rain today and last night. the South-West monsoon arrived in some parts of the state as Udaipur and Kota received heavy rains since last night, met officials said today. With moderate showers, Udaipur received 4.2 cm and Kota 3.2 cm of rainfall. they said. While Jhalawar recorded the maximum rainfall of 7 mm, Bharatpur received 5mm, followed by Sawaimadhopur and Mount Abu 3mm each. Jaipur and Ajmer received rainfall of 1 mm each. North-west regions of Jodhpur, Barmer, Jaislamer, Bikaner, Churu and Sikar are yet to receive the season's first rain spell. Monsoon clouds would be active in other parts of the state in the next 24 hours, a forecast said.
Delhi however reported with traces of rainfall and finally settled below 40-degree Celsius with a high humidity level. The maximum temperature reported to be 39.4 C, two units above normal, and the minimum stood at 27.7 C. Meanwhile people in Punjab and Haryana breathed relief as mercury settled within the normal levels at most places.
