Suzlon to setup 25.5 MW Power plant in Rajasthan

Country's leading wind turbine maker Suzlon Energy today said it has bagged an order from state-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for 25.5 MW project in Rajasthan. ''Suzlon Energy has won an order from HPCL for a 25.5 MW capacity wind power project at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan,'' the company said in a statement without disclosing the financial details of the contract. The project, which comprises of 17 units of S82-1.5 MW wind turbines, is scheduled for commissioning by the end of 2010, it said.
HPCL has entered into non-conventional energy with plans to implement a 100 MW capacity wind farm in phases. HPCL plans to register this new project under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
