Gujjar agitation day 3: Threaten to block Road after Train

The rail-roko on Delhi-Mumbai route by Gujjar protesters to press for five per cent special quota and other demands to continue for the third day as there was no talk on tuesdays and rajasthan high court to take decision on reservation today at jaipur. Rajasthan government expressed faith in wisdom of Gujjar leaders and readiness to hold talks for amicable solution. The Gujjars agitators also held demonstration outside the RPSC head quarters in Ajmer and blocked Bayana-Hindon Road in Karauli district. CM Ashok Gehlot and home minister Shanti Dhariwal’s statements that the state government won’t put the announced recruitments on hold, as demanded by the Gujjars, too prompted the community leaders to declare an intensification of the agitation. “We will block national highways 11, 8 and 3 until the government stops the recruitment drive,’’ Bainsla’s close aide Har Prasad said. Bainsla supported his statement saying, “I am responsible for all their (protesters) actions.’’ Sticking to the demand for freezing recruitments till the quota issue was settled, Bainsla said, “The government has been saying it has given us 1% quota as special backward class and also under the OBC category, but the promise hasn’t been fulfilled.’’
