WikiLeaks - China leaders ordered hacking on Google

The United States diplomatic cables released by whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks exposed that US believed China's ruling Communist Party ordered the attack on search engine Google. According to the cable sent by United States official in Beijing in May 2009, the attack on Google was directly ordered by China's Politburo Standing Committee member.
The cables released to The New York Times and The Guardian newspapers revealed that Politburo member Li Changchun ordered to hack Google after finding criticism on him in Google's site. The cable sent from Beijing to Washington said, 'A well-placed contact claims that the Chinese government coordinated the recent intrusions of Google systems. According to our contact, the closely held operations were directed at the Politburo Standing Committee level.'
