Rescue work at devas tunnel Udaipur continue to save worker. A worker trapped for five days in an under-construction tunnel in Rajasthan's Devas village as a portion of the tunnel collapsed while he was working inside. Narayan, a 40-year-old pump operator, was trapped when a part of the 90-metre-long tunnel, which is being constructed for an irrigation project to supply water to Udaipur city from Devas village, came crashing down Thursday afternoon, a district official told IANS.
People came to know that he was stuck inside only after a headcount of workers was taken Thursday evening. Rescue workers established contact with Narayan Friday by pushing a four-inch pipe through the debris. Rescue work is still continue at site. Devas is over 30 km from Udaipur city.
