Rajasthan's National Parks closed till 30 September

Rajasthan's All the national parks will be shut from Thursday for the monsoon season from 1st July to 30 September every year. The trails inside these national parks are damaged and animals that constitute the prey base like deer, sambhars and wart hogs among others breed during this season. "The tourist vehicles disturb animals during monsoon as it is their breeding season. We have also made a plan to manage the traffic of the pilgrims visiting Pandupole temple in Sariska. Devotees vehicles will be allowed only on Tuesdays and Saturdays during this season," RS Shekhawat, conservator of forest (CF), Alwar, said. In Sariska, officials have now prepared themselves to use the season to provide some extra minerals and salt to the animals.
