Rajasthan to set up fast track courts soon

Rajasthan chief minister (CM) Ashok Gehlot has given his approval to set up fast track courts in five divisional headquarters for speedy hearing in cases of women harassment, a government spokesperson said. Such fast track courts are already functional at division level in Jaipur and Kota and approval has now been given for setting up courts in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Udaipur, he said. Meanwhile, the state is also set to enact a law to prevent atrocities on women. The government would implement "Rajasthan Women (Prevention of Atrocities) Bill, 2012" as an Ordinance after approval of President.
