Dr. Dev Swaroop, joint secretary in University Grant Commission (UGC) has been appointed New Vice Chancellor (VC) of University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva, who also ex-officio holds the post of the Chancellor of the University, has appointed Dr Swaroop on the post for three years, a Rajbhawan released said here tonight. The post of the Vice-Chancellor was lying vacant for sometime and Jaipur Divisional Commissioner Madhukar Gupta was officiating as acting VC for the time-being.
He has completed his education from Agra University,Agra. He has a authority in many subject and widely traveled the world. a man of vision and innovation.
