59.62% voting in Rajasthan on 5 Lok sabha Seats

Rajasthan recorded 59.62 % voting on 5 seats of Lok Sabha Election 2014 with minor violence incident. Four photojournalists and a driver were injured and their vehicle was damaged in an attack by villagers, while they were going to cover a clash which broke out when a group of 150 people forcibly tried to enter a polling booth in Satha village in Dausa district of Rajasthan. Forty-five thousands security personnel were on duty in the most sensitive 5 LS seats in the state. Eighty one contestants, including two Union Ministers; Namonarayan Meena (MoS finance) from Dausa, Jitendra Singh (MoS-sports) from Alwar, and former cricketer Mohammed Azaharruddin from Tonk-Swaimadhopur are in the fray. Polling on Rajasthan's 20 seats was held on 17th April with highest ever polling turnout of 63.25%. Now results for all 25 seats will be announced on 16th May 2014, Morning.
