Sri Lanka wins ICC T20 World Cup 2014 by defeating India in final played today. After finishing runners-up to the West Indies at home in 2012, Sri Lanka finally broke their World T20 jinx to finish champions. It was the perfect tribute to Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, who played their last T20 internationals. Kumar Sangakkara's unbeaten knock of 52 helped Sri Lanka beat India in the World T20 final to win their maiden title. India in 20th over scores 130-4 playing first with the help of blistering 76 from Indian star performer Virat kohli but fail to defend the total. In his farewell T20 appearance Kumar Sangakkara steers Sri Lanka to an emotional six-wicket victory over India
