Saina Nehwal out from BWF Wrold Championship

The curtains of Indian challenge came down painfully last night at the BWF Wrold Championship with its ace shuttler Saina Nehwal going down 16-21, 19-21 to No.2 Chinese seed Lin Wang in the quarter finals of the women's singles at SAAP Indoor stadium, Gachibowli in Hyderabad. Earlier in the day, Indian mixed double due, V Diju-Jwala Gutta, dashed another medal hope as lost their last eight match to No 2 seed Nova Widianto-Liliyana Natsir of Indonesia. Both Saina and Diju-Jwala combo were the first Indians to play in the quarter finals of any world tournament. The Indian sensation failed to keep up the tempo she scripled against Bulgarian Petya last night. Lin was aggressive best and easily overtook Saina in the first game 21-16.
Like last night it was a resurgent Saina who changed her game with the shuttle pace raising India's hope albeit momentarily. But the Chinese player thwarted Saina's smashes allowing her only 13 winners against her 17 winners. Saina appeared a wee bit slower at the net as the chinese pushed her to the base line winning 42 of their 77 rallies in the 39-minute encounter. Though Lin raced to three point lead, Saina was able to stop her, though for a moment only, at 18-20, picking up a point from Lin's netting her drop. But the Chinese keeping the shuttle low on her return wrapped up the game and the match 21-19.
