Date of Arunachal pradesh Assembly Election - 13 October 2009

Chief Election Commissioner Naveen Chawla announced that arunachal go to polls on 13th October, while the counting of votes would take place on 22nd October. The notification would be issued on 18th September while the last date for filing nominations is 25th September. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is 29th September. Navin Chawla added that Central Police Forces and State Armed Forces will be deployed on the day of polling to ensure free and fair elections in the three states. Arunachal has 60 member assembly. The Model Code of Conduct is to be followed by the applicants with immediate effect.
