Rajasthan Govt hikes 5% DA for state Govt Employees

After the DA hike by central govt., Rajasthan Government has hiked five per cent in Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees, with effect from July 1, 2009. This news was announced in Jaipur by state govt. spokesperson on Friday ''Henceforth, the state government employees will now get a DA equivalent to 27 per cent of their basic salary''. The arrears on account of the increased DA for July and August months would be credited in the employee's GPF account whereas cash payment would be made from the current month. This will make Rajasthan as first state to announce this DA installment after the Centre Govt. step to hike DA by 5%.
