The Rajasthan Government has removed 20 engineers from their posts and kept them awaiting posting orders following complaints of negligence, poor quality material and/or works and delay in various construction projects. The engineers---eight executive engineers(Ex En) and 12 assistant engineers(A En)--of Rajasthan PWD and State Road Development Coporation were removed from their respective posts yesterday following inquiry in the complaints on directives from PWD Minister Pramod Jain Bhayya. The Minister had ordered a probe by Managing Director State Roads Development Corporation after the complaints made during a review meeting of officers and people's representatives held in Kota sometime ago. Disciplinary action has also been recommended against them and three construction contractors engaged in the works had also been black listed, official sources said.
