Rajasthan Govt to hold Recruitment till 3 May 2010

Rajasthan Govt to hold Recruitment till 3 May 2010 as there is no breakthrough in the talks between the Gujjars and the government, the Sikandra junction on national highway No. 11 continued to bear the brunt of the agitation. Traffic remained disrupted on the highway between Dausa to Mahua as thousands of Gujjars continued their “mahapadav” at the junction. There were no signs of any weariness even in the extreme heat as members of the community remained glued to the spot and lent their ears to the speeches with rapt attention. Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla is on a tour of various villages in the adjacent areas to garner support and hold public meetings.
“The agitation will continue as has been stated by Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla. We have been peaceful and nothing untoward has been reported. From what I gather the Israni committee has asked Bainsla to come and meet them on April 24,” said spokesperson Roop Singh. Meanwhile, home minister Shanti Dhariwal stated the government has no plans of holding back recruitment for the 80,000 jobs till the issue was resolved. “The government has suggested holding back these jobs till May 3 when the Gujjar reservation issue is to be heard by the high court. But there is no way that we can hold back all recruitment till the Gujjar reservation issue is sorted out,” he said.
