Symonds from Kenya win Jaipur Marathon 2011 today while from Indian athlete Sushil Kumar, Kiran Tiwari wins Men and Woman Category resp marathon. Bollywood actor Salman Khan kicked off the Jaipur Marathon-2011 on today with State tourism minister Sunday Bina Kak. Around 10000 people participated in mega event of Jaipur Marathon 2011. Earlier Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra kicked off the Jaipur Marathon-2011 on Sunday by lighting the torch and handing over it to squash player Surabhi Mishra at a ceremony on 16 January 2011.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was met by black flags when he arrived here to inaugurate the Jaipur half marathon today. The Bishnoi community and environment activists protested against Khan's presence at the event as the actor was convicted for killing black bucks, an endangered species, in 2006. The protesters however were dispersed by the police and the event went off smoothly with thousands of people including sportspersons from different states and countries participating in the half marathon.
