Rajasthan govt removed Mandi tax on onion for 15 days

To control onion prices, the government of Rajasthan today abolished Mandi tax payable for the vegetable for 15 days. "The government issued the direction to this effecttoday. Traders have also assured the government of cooperationin controlling the onion price," an official said here. The state govenment has already announced that onionswould be sold at reasonable prices through 1100 outlets,including PDS shops and dairy booths, across the state.
