Yamla Pagla Deewana to hit silver screen today

The most awaited movie of 2011 is in cinema near your. The Deol's, Bollywood's very own Jats, mesmerised with their irresistible charm as they also celebrated Lohri, Makar sakranti with the audience in the capital. The bored fans who braved the chill to catch a glimpse of the stars, jumped with joy once the famous paajis of Bollywood stepped on the red carpet at PVR Priya, Vasant Vihar, to the beating of dhol and nagadas. The moment Dharmendra, in his inimitable dialogue style, shouted into the mike, 'Dilliwalon', a takeoff from 'Gaonwaalon' from 'Sholay', the crowd shouted in rapture. He wished everyone in Punjabi, 'Lohri di lakh lakh vadaiyaan'. Sunny added his bit, with 'Jat risky, after balti whiskey, bruahhh' - sweeping the crowd off their feet.

Movie Review: “Yamla Pagaal Deewana” has all that punjabi massala on it. Be it comedy, romance, action, everything is there with the trio of father (Dharmendra), and sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Dharam Singh (Dharmendra) and Gajodhar Singh (Bobby Deol) are two con men in Benaras. They make fool of people and takes money from them. Paramveer Singh Dhillion (Sunny Deol) is an honest NRI who has returned from London. He meets Gajodhar and tells him that they are childhood brothers. Gajodhar and Dharam Singh agrees to him thinking that Paramveer’s muscle power will help them solving their problems. The film got shot in London, Benaras, and most of it in Punjab.
Times of India Rating: ***1/2
